Aquilla Graves

Initiating change in the mindsets of a community in dire need of restoration, Aquilla Graves has employed the tenets of best practices in educating our children to lead her decision-making. She has been in the field of education as a general and special educator, as well as an assistant principal, for over four decades. She has completed four degrees, including an Ed.S. as an Education Specialist. She firmly believes it takes the village to raise the child, predicated by affective relationships and effective communication.

Jamillah Kareem

Jamillah Kareem

With over 35 years of experience in education and a focus on the family, Jamillah Kareem has worked in both the United States and Africa. She earned a Type 75 certification and was the principal of an alternative high school on the south side of Chicago for 14 years until she retired. Passionate to continue empowering parents, teachers, and children with project learning as her springboard, she is currently an education coach at Urban Edu Coach. Ms. Kareem believes she has a duty to contribute to the nurturing of our youth, and aiding in their development is part of her mission to educate.

April Ayn Weaver

April Ayn Weaver

April Ayn Weaver holds a Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health. She has worked with “at-risk” adolescents, women, and families for over 20 years. Driven by her love and passion for empowering the emotional intelligence of others, she has helped her clients seek a higher purpose for their lives. April is an entrepreneurial Life Coach and an educational coach at Urban Edu. Additionally, Ms. Weaver has published a book of short stories about the struggles of African-American mothers in a low-income community.

Michelle Rhnea Yisrael

Michelle Rhnea Yisrael

Professor Yisrael feels honored to have empowered parents and educators for over 30 years. Before homeschooling and independent education reached their peak, Michelle Rhnea Yisrael was noted for starting one of the prototypes. To her credit, she has taught children who have gone on to higher learning as early as age sixteen. She has a master’s degree in English from Chicago State University. She has a Master’s Degree from the University of Illinois, Springfield, in progress, with a soul degree in love and a passion for nurturing the human soul. Professor Yisrael is currently a Professor in the Communications Department, Tenure Assistant Leader, and Faculty Development Coordinator at Chicago’s Kennedy-King College. She is one of the curriculum development coaches at Urban Edu Coach. Additionally, Michelle has published two books of poetry, a book of short stories, a creative nonfiction novel, and a women’s daily devotional journal.
